Over the Jubilee, I was commissioned by Social Streets and Roman Road London to capture images of the home of the late Stan Jones, a local photographer that had lived in the same house for more than 80 years, moving in when he was 10 and never really venturing outside of London during his lifetime.

He was something of a local icon and a key member of the community, documenting the life of local people through his photography. It was interesting to see those images - a view through his lens. You could tell he cared about people and their interactions. There was even a photo of the Coronation Party in 1953 which we positioned into the same spot (ish) he would have taken that image.

His home really was something to behold too - a beautifully preserved time capsule of styles and fashion. Even though the structure was no longer occupied - it's a cliché - but there was definitely some life still there.
